All Our Relations: Day Retreat for Humans and their Horses

An immersive day of embodied awareness with self, horse, and land.

All Our Relations invites you into a grounding day of reconnection — to yourself, the natural world, and the horses who share it.

Rooted in the teaching that all beings are interconnected — people, animals, land, water, and sky — this retreat is a living exploration of that truth. Set on the sacred grounds of Star 6 Ranch in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the day offers space to slow down, listen deeply, and settle into the shared rhythm of presence, trust, and belonging.

Guided by Alana Burton, Linda Fitzpatrick, and Chloe Vance, you’ll be invited to soften habitual patterns, restore ease in body and movement, and reconnect to the wisdom that emerges when self, horse, and land are met with care and awareness.

Spaces are limited to support an intimate and spacious experience.

What You’ll Experience:

Connect to Self with Alana Burton (Somatic Reawakenings)

Experience the profound benefits of somatic movement, a practice that fosters a deep connection between brain and body. Somatic Movement is a neuromuscular re-education practice. Through slow, mindful movements, uncover and release habitual tension patterns that contribute to pain and dysfunction. By actively engaging your brain in movement, natural coordination, balance, and strength is restored—allowing for greater ease and freedom in your body.  These movements are designed to be accessible to all, fostering a renewed sense of bodily freedom.  This gentle practice is done on the floor while you are laying on your back, front or sides.  Participants must be comfortable moving down onto the floor.

Connect to Your Horse with Linda Fitzpatrick (Reverence Stables)

Discover how clarity in your own body transforms the way your horse moves and responds. In a horsemanship lesson with Linda Fitzpatrick, your horse will be guided to move with stability, fluidity, balance, and healthy posture—stronger, healthier, and more confident. Linda’s approach empowers both horse and rider to build a trusting, responsive partnership, enhancing your equestrian skills and connection.

Connect to the Sacred Land with Chloe Vance (Star 6 Ranch and Chloe Vance Equine Alchemy)

Star 6 Ranch is guardian to 80 acres of grasslands, meadows, and forests, surrounded by wild and protected parklands, with the Kananaskis River running its eastern border. Chloe shares her love for the beauty and solitude of this sacred place with those seeking connection with the natural world: the soothing sounds of the river, the feel of hands in rich soil, the grounding presence of animals, and the assurance that day comes after night. Guided by neuroscience, coaching and leadership philosophy, and principles of experiential learning, Chloe curates experiences focused on reflection, self-discovery and personal growth.

Set in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, this immersive retreat offers spaciousness to move, breathe, reflect, and reconnect. As the day unfolds, you may find the boundaries between self, horse, and land begin to soften — revealing a shared rhythm of harmony and belonging.

All Our Relations is more than a retreat; it’s a homecoming — an invitation to remember that every breath, every step, and every relationship is part of a greater whole.

Your guides for the day will be:

Linda Fitzpatrick, Reverence Stables

Linda Fitzpatrick is the owner and operator of Reverence Stables Horsemanship Centre. With over 30 years of experience in horsemanship and equine wellness, Linda is passionate about enhancing the holistic health of every horse she works with. Her work focuses on empowering riders, especially women, to build positive and confident relationships with their horses.

Linda’s calm, expert approach to equine education has empowered many riders to connect—or reconnect—with their horses in both mind and body, deepening their relationship and improving the effectiveness of their training.

Linda has a wealth of experience in developing horses across all breeds based on classical philosophies. She believes in cross-training her horses to increase the benefits gleaned from all disciplines.

A life-long student of the horse, Linda continues to pursue her own education in order to enhance the services she provides–living by example to provide her students and their horses with the highest quality horsemanship training. Linda truly understands the value of intentional horsemanship and in helping horses find strength and balance in self-carriage.

While the focus of her work is in dressage, she is currently adding Garrocha and cattle work to empower her students to explore, develop, and challenge their skills by incorporating fresh ideas, fun, and diversity into their development.

Linda’s highly sought-after teaching style and in-depth knowledge of equine anatomy take into account the needs of horse and rider in the moment to build a truly joyful relationship.

Alana Burton, Somatic Reawakenings

Alana Burton’s healing journey is a testament to the body’s resilience and capacity for transformation. Born with spina bifida and spondylolisthesis, she began experiencing back and sciatic pain at 12, leading to spinal fusion surgery at 16.

Despite the procedure—and compounded by other life experiences such as accidents and repetitive movements—chronic pain persisted, manifesting as headaches, neck, shoulder, back, hip, and sciatic discomfort. Unbeknownst to her, her brain had developed compensatory movement patterns to adapt to both structural changes and habitual movement, inadvertently reinforcing tension and dysfunction.

Alana’s turning point came when she discovered yoga therapy, which initiated profound relief and restored mobility. This experience sparked a passion for understanding movement and healing, ultimately leading her to Clinical Somatic Education—the missing link in deep, lasting recovery. Now, Alana is dedicated to helping others unravel habitual tension patterns and rediscover ease in their bodies through one-on-one and group care. Find out more about her here: Somatic Reawakenings.
